Congressman Cleaver Delivers Emotional Message to Housing Sec. Ben Carson
(Washington D.C.) – Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II spoke before the full Financial Services Committee hearing this morning on Capitol Hill. U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Ben Carson appeared before the committee to discuss public housing needs. The hearing was entitled “The Future of Housing in America: Oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development”.

“I was happy to share my story today of growing up in a shack in Waxahachie, Texas. I just hope people will be more understanding and empathetic towards HUD and the people who need help,” said Congressman Cleaver.
