Rep. Cleaver’s Statement on Escalating Conflict in Israel and Gaza

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) released the following statement on the escalating conflict in Israel and Gaza.

"I continue to watch developments in Israel and Gaza closely. I fully support President Biden's calls for de-escalation and an immediate cease-fire.

"Violence only sows more violence, and too many innocent civilians have already perished. Failure to de-escalate will only lead to further tragedy for all involved."
