DEADLINE: Thursday March 5, 2026, at 11:59PM

The House Committee on Appropriations is soliciting Community Project Funding (CPF) requests – commonly referred to as earmarks – from Members of Congress.

Please note that:

  • Each Member is limited to 20 Community Project Funding Requests across all subcommittees for Fiscal Year 2027.
  • Only state and local government entities, and certain non-profit entities are eligible to receive funding through CPF.
    • For-profit organizations are not eligible recipients of this funding opportunity.
  • Each submission must be for FY27 only and cannot include multiyear funding.
  • The Committee will only consider projects with demonstrated community support in the form of letters from local elected officials; press articles highlighting need; support from newspaper editorial boards; mentions on State intended use plans, community development plans, or other publicly available planning documents; resolutions passed by city councils or boards; etc.
  • My office will only consider projects that directly benefit the 5th district of Missouri.
  • Discussing your project with the Congressman or with his staff does not bypass the requirement to complete the application. We will only be able to consider requests submitted via the above application link, prior to the deadline.

More information on the process can be found on the House Appropriations Committee's page here. The deadlines stated on this website are for internal House usage only, all stakeholders should submit their requests as soon as possible.

If your organization has an appropriations request for our office that is not related to a community project (e.g. programmatic funding), please reach out directly to the relevant legislative staffer with this request. If you are unsure what legislative staffer handles the policy issue in question, please call our DC office line at 202-225-4535 to inquire.
