Reps. Cleaver, Davids Make Friendly Wager on Super Bowl LIX with Philadelphia Reps. Evans, Boyle
(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Representatives Emanuel Cleaver, II (MO-05) and Sharice Davids (KS-03) made a friendly wager with Philadelphia area Representatives Dwight Evans (PA-03) and Brendan Boyle (PA-02) on the outcome of the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. When the Kansas City Chiefs win, Reps. Evans and Boyle will provide Philly cheesesteaks and soft pretzels. Should the Philadelphia Eagles get extraordinarily lucky and somehow find a way to victory, Reps. Cleaver and Davids will provide some of Kansas City’s finest barbecue.
“During my time in Congress, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with my Philadelphian colleagues, just as I have enjoyed watching the Chiefs beat up on their beloved Eagles in the Super Bowl,” said Rep. Cleaver. “The Chiefs have won the past two Lombardi Trophies, so I have no reason to believe Super Bowl LIX will be any different.
