A Royal Celebration
Tuesday’s celebration was 30 years in the making. In the early hours of Monday morning, November 2, the Kansas City Royals took Game 5 of the World Series from a very good New York Mets team, beating them in the 12th inning and bringing the Commissioners Trophy back to Kansas City for the first time since 1985. This championship was not only about the players, but our loyal fan base, epitomizing what it means to be a team. I want to congratulate our team, the Kansas City Royals, and express sympathy for the losers.

This week, I congrulated our champion team on the House floor! Please click here to watch my full speech.

I hope you'll join me in this royal celebration and hold your head high during the off season.
Warmly,

Emanuel Cleaver, II
Member of Congress
