(Kansas City, MO) – Today, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) announced that Fannie Mae has provided $1,350,000 to Trigild Inc., the court-appointed receiver overseeing property conditions at Independence Towers, to facilitate additional repairs at the apartment complex. The funding provided by Fannie Mae is in addition to $425,000 provided by the enterprise earlier this year and follows Rep. Cleaver’s insistence that additional action be taken to address tenant concerns.
