Established in 2006, the FFNHA is one of 55 National Heritage Areas throughout the United States and focuses on generating economic activity and increasing tourism in Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas by promoting and raising awareness of the region's history.

(Kansas City, MO) – Today, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) announced a new study from the Joint Economic Committee (JEC) showing the expanded Child Tax Credit delivered more than $293 million to Missouri families in July. The historic tax cut for working families—included in the American Rescue Plan supported by Congressman Cleaver—benefited more than 1.1 million children in the Show-Me state with families receiving an average payment of $444.

The "Hello Girls" were the first female soldiers to be deployed to a combat zone and were instrumental in the war effort in France throughout WWI.
