(Washington, D.C.) –United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO), Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, International Development, and Monetary Policy, along with House Financial Services (FSC) Chairwoman Maxine Waters and all Subcommittee Chairs, called for several actions to be taken by the administration and financial regulators, as health experts predict the coronavirus will continue to spread in the United States.

(Queens, NY) – Today, United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO), Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, International Development, and Monetary Policy, participated in a Financial Services Committee field hearing on modern-day redlining. The field hearing was chaired by Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) voted in favor of H.R. 6074, an emergency supplemental appropriations bill to fully address the coronavirus public health crisis. The emergency supplemental appropriations will provide $8.3 billion in entirely new funding to combat the coronavirus epidemic and keep Americans safe.

(Brownsville, TX) – This week, United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver II (D-MO) visited Matamoros, MX to witness firsthand the Trump Administration's Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) or as it is more commonly referred, the "Remain in Mexico" policy. Marking one year since implementation this week, the policy has created an unmitigated human rights disaster on our southern border. There are nearly 60,000 asylum seekers stranded in Mexico awaiting court hearings in the United States for months on end.
