(Kansas City, MO) – Today, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) attended a press conference and ribbon cutting for the new, state-of-the-art substance use treatment center in the heart of Kansas City’s UMKC Health Sciences District, which was funded, in part, by $2.5 million in federal Community Project Funding secured by Rep. Cleaver.

(Kansas City, MO) – Today, U.S. Representatives Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO), Sharice Davids (D-KS), and Jake LaTurner (R-KS) came together to call on the National Park Service and the Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park (NHP) to incorporate the history of Webb v. School District 90 (Webb) into the NHP’s permanent exhibits at the Monroe Elementary School site and any future NHP sites.

(Kansas City, MO) – Today, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) announced the introduction of H.Res. 1505, expressing support for the designation of September 2024 as "National Polycystic Kidney Disease Awareness Month” and raising awareness and understanding of polycystic kidney disease. Congressman Cleaver introduced the bipartisan resolution with fellow Missouri lawmaker Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO).
