(Orrick, MO) – Last week, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) met with Governor Mike Parson, farmers and agricultural leaders from the Missouri Farm Bureau, and leaders from the Missouri Levee & Drainage District Association (MLDDA) to survey farmland and levees devastated by recent flooding in Orrick, Missouri. Following the survey, a roundtable was held to hear from local farmers and levee district leaders to discuss improvements that can be made to protect Missouri farmers and ranchers from future floods.

(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) today announced the introduction of H.R. 2249, the World War I Valor Medals Review Act, a bipartisan bill that would review military records of minority servicemembers of the Armed Forces during World War I to determine whether they should be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. Introducing the bill alongside Congressman Cleaver are Congressman French Hill (R-AR), Congressman Sam Graves (R-MO), and Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA).
