(Washington, D.C.) – Yesterday, following public outcry at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) decision not to extend waivers that allow the Summer Food Service Program and the Seamless Summer Option to operate during school closures, the USDA reversed course and announced they will extend the waivers through the fall semester. United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO), who publicly called for the reversal, applauded the announcement.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 8015, the Delivering For America Act, with bipartisan support by a vote of 257-150. United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) was a cosponsor and voted to pass the legislation, which would provide funding for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and prevent the Postmaster General from implementing any changes to USPS operations that were not already in effect on January 1, 2020.
