(Washington, D.C.) – This week, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) voted in favor of H.R. 6930, the Asset Seizure for Ukraine Reconstruction Act, and S. 3522, the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act, to support Ukraine as the Ukrainian people continue their months-long campaign to repel Vladimir Putin's unprovoked invasion. The Asset Seizure for Ukraine Reconstruction Act would establish a constitutional process for seizing the assets of corrupt Russian oligarchs to support the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 496, the Ukraine Religious Freedom Support Act, which was introduced by U.S. Representatives Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) and Joe Wilson (R-SC). The legislation would hold Russia accountable for violations of religious liberty during its illegal occupation of Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine since 2014, as well as during its current invasion.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 3807, the Relief for Restaurants and Other Hard Hit Small Businesses Act. A cosponsor of the legislation, U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) voted in favor of the bill, which would provide $55 billion in urgently needed relief for small businesses throughout Missouri and across the country as they continue to recover from the global pandemic.
